According to the UN World Food Program (WFP), Palestinians in Gaza make up 80% of the global population that is currently experiencing famine. Nearly everyone in Gaza is hungry.

About 96% of the population in the Gaza Strip (2.15 million people) will continue to face high levels of acute food insecurity beyond September 2024. This includes over 495,000 people who are expected to face catastrophic food insecurity (IPC Phase 5). People’s immune systems are now weak, leaving them increasingly vulnerable to disease.
