The ongoing violence has taken the lives of at least 8,000 Palestinians and injured more than 17,000. This number is set to drastically increase.

Due to a 16-year blockade, 68% of Palestinians were already living beneath the poverty line. Lack of access to food and water meant that the 1.6 million Palestinian population was heavily reliant on humanitarian aid.

More than 2 million people are currently displaced as they have had to leave their homes in order to survive.

Muslim Hands are working through partners on the ground, to deliver emergency relief to the affected civilians of Palestine.

All three seawater desalination plants which produced 21 million litres of drinking water have had to halt their operations.

R10,800 will provide 80 people with clean, drinkable water, that is just R135 per person.
