Position Summary
Content Creation:
- Draft blog posts, social media captions, newsletters, and website copy aligned with brand tone and objectives.
Research & Idea Generation:
- Conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and competitor content to inform writing.
Editing & Proofreading:
- Ensure all content is grammatically correct, error-free, and meets quality standards.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the design and marketing teams to produce cohesive campaigns.
SEO Optimization:
- Apply basic SEO principles to improve content visibility and engagement.
Performance Standards:
- Quality: Content is clear, accurate, and adheres to brand guidelines.
- Timeliness: Tasks and assignments are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Creativity: Demonstrates originality and fresh ideas in copywriting.
- Engagement: Content contributes to measurable increases in audience interaction (likes, shares, comments).
- Compliance: All work aligns with organizational policies and ethical standards.
Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Media Studies, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital content strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is an advantage.
- Creative thinking and ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
Experience:
- Previous experience in writing (academic, blogging, or freelance) is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a team environment.
- Must adhere to MHSA ethical practices and share our passion for humanitarian aid work.
