Through Hardship Comes Relief: Spreading Hope and Relief in Gaza

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘Adhere to Shaam, for it is Allah’s best land, to which He selects His best servants…’ [Abu Dawud]

The ceasefire that began on Sunday, 19th January 2025, marks a crucial step forward, bringing hope to the countless families in Gaza who have endured unimaginable hardship. We pray this is the beginning of lasting peace for Palestinians, who continue to face immense challenges.

Since October 2023, over 46,000 lives have been lost, nearly 70% of whom were women and children. Widespread displacement, destroyed infrastructure, and severely damaged water systems have left 97% of Gaza’s water undrinkable, deepening the humanitarian crisis.

Muslim Hands has been supporting Gaza since 2007, delivering essential aid in these dire times. In collaboration with the World Food Programme and other partners, we have provided nearly five million meals to the most vulnerable, including women, children, and the elderly.

Our ongoing project to establish three desalination plants will soon provide safe water to 30,000 people daily.

Amid harsh winter conditions, we are also offering shelter and warm clothing to 20,000 children as part of our winter appeal. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have been able to raise significant funds, enabling us to deliver lifesaving aid and hope to those in need.

While the ceasefire brings a glimmer of relief, the road to rebuilding Gaza remains long. With 2.2 million people facing acute food insecurity and limited access to clean water, urgent support is still needed. Muslim Hands will continue delivering hot meals, clean water, and essential supplies to uphold the dignity and well-being of those suffering. Together, we can make a difference.
