On the 28th of October 2017, Muslim Hands SA in union with the UK office, held the Shine for Syria fundraising event at Sea Point, Cape Town. A 5-km night walk in support of refugees in Syria. At the same time, 14 000 kilometres away, our brothers and sisters in London walked 5 miles, separated by land but united for one cause. A family fun night was packed with entertainment including a closing ceremony and lots of fun.

Hundreds of people lit up the night of Cape Town to raise funds for our Syrian brothers and sisters. Muslim Hands conveys our deepest gratitude to all who joined us at this event. This year Muslim Hands shone with our second annual Shine for Syria 5km night walk and the funds you helped raise will go a long way in providing warm clothes, blankets and food to Syrian refugees in camps in Lebanon and Turkey.
