Your Qurbani can Feed Fatoumata’s Family

Aisha Adam

Fatoumata lives with her five children in Koulaba, Mali - a poverty-stricken community where hunger and disease is on the rise.

Widowed at a young age, Fatoumata became the sole breadwinner, and because of this, the family has been struggling to make ends meet. She earns little income from the small business she runs, and many at times, the family goes to sleep hungry due to being unable to afford food.

On days like Eid, Fatoumata and her children feel extremely sad and despondent as the family is unable to celebrate Eid with a hearty meal and relies on donors like you.

“We don’t know how to get meat except that every year your organization gives us meat. I can’t imagine the day when it will end because a lot of families here depend on it. Your meat donations add flavor to our party and children and parents no longer have to worry about and envy others.” – Fatoumata

It was the Sunnah of our beloved Messenger (saw) to offer an extra animal for Qurbani on behalf of the poor who could not afford to sacrifice for themselves. This year, you too can follow this Sunnah and give a Prophetic Qurbani. Not only will you follow the Sunnah, but also help feed poor communities where hunger is on the rise.

This Eid-ul-Adha, your Prophetic Qurbani can help spread the joy of Eid, ensuring families like Fatoumata do not feel despondent about being trapped in poverty. Double your impact, double your reward!
