Fatoumata lives with her five children in Koulaba, Mali - a poverty-stricken community where hunger and disease is on the rise.
Widowed at a young age, Fatoumata became the sole breadwinner, and because of this, the family has been struggling to make ends meet. She earns little income from the small business she runs, and many at times, the family goes to sleep hungry due to being unable to afford food.
On days like Eid, Fatoumata and her children feel extremely sad and despondent as the family is unable to celebrate Eid with a hearty meal and relies on donors like you.
“We don’t know how to get meat except that every year your organization gives us meat. I can’t imagine the day when it will end because a lot of families here depend on it. Your meat donations add flavor to our party and children and parents no longer have to worry about and envy others.” – Fatoumata
