Duas for Protection against the Coronavirus Third Wave
Religion and our creator is often the only solace during times of adversity, as illustrated by our beloved Prophet Mohammed (saw). It is narrated in The Holy Quran that Allah Almighty promised to respond to any calls made to Him; ‘Call upon Me, I will respond to you’.
A new strain of Coronavirus has plunged our country into a deadly third wave. It is crucial, now more than ever, that we all remember to implement protections in our control and mandated by the government to keep us safe, such as wearing face masks, maintaining physical distancing, and washing our hands regularly.
However, it is important to keep in mind that there is a lot that we can't control about this virus. We are limited in our abilities and dependent on Allah (swt )to protect us, for no harm can befall us or our loved ones except by His Will.
With this in mind, we’ve put together a quick list of protective Duas you can recite, and share with your children, friends, and family. The power of Dua should never be underestimated during this bleak and testing time.

This du’a has been taken from the following hadith:
The Prophet (saw) said, ‘Whoever repeats, “In the Name of Allah, with Whose Name nothing is harmed on earth nor in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing” three times [in the evening] will not be stricken with a sudden affliction until he reaches the morning. And whoever repeats this three times in the morning will not be stricken with a sudden affliction until he reaches the evening’. [Abu Dawud]
