Muslim Hands supports Community Organizations to feed Backyard Madrassa Learners
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is reported to have said, “Whoever feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward as him without diminishing in any way the reward of the fasting person.” This hadith encourages Muslims to feed those who are hungry, especially during Ramadan.
Muslim Hands in association with community feeding organizations Thornton Cares, Things on Wheels and the Anwar Jakoet Foundation have for the entire month of Ramadan been providing cooked Iftar meals for various Backyard Madrassa Children and in informal settlements.
Thousands of children and adults in poverty-stricken areas like Delft, Fractreton, Manenberg, Lost City, Elsies River, Brooklyn, Kensington, Tafelsig, Khayelitsha, and Mitchell's Plain have been fed thus far this month, Alhamdulilah.
With us being in the final week of Ramadan, there will be no let-up. Muslim Hands will also be joining these community organizations in cooking food for distribution on Eid day to most of the above-mentioned areas.
You too can join in the rewards by providing food to those most in need, click here to donate today.
