Design26 Foundation Project

Masnoena Allie Isaacs

Design26 Foundation - established in March 2018, is run by 5 females who aim to reduce poverty through providing sewing training twice a week, counselling and job opportunities to vulnerable and underprivileged teenage mothers in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town.

Muslim Hands donated 8 sewing machines towards Design26 Foundation as we believe in the commitment, dedication and vision set out by the foundation. We also believe that developing income generating skills has a positive impact on the ability of employment.

Suraya Williams (Founder of Design26 Foundation): “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Muslim Hands SA team for believing in my foundation and the vision I have set out. Thank you for being part of my journey and for enhancing my platform to conduct my sewing classes much better. May your organisation grow from strength to strength.”
