Sivenathi Care Centre

Sivenathi Care Centre is a home for mentally & physically disabled children. Some of the children have to deal with the challenge of being HIV positive. Their parents cannot cope with their disability or have passed away. Sivenathi is a 24-hour residential facility operating in Blackheath, Cape Town. In Xhosa, “Sivenathi” means “God hears us” which is an appropriate name for the home as it is by His provision through the people that we are able to assist the children at Sivenathi Care Centre. The centre accommodated 15 children when it opened its doors which then grew to 40 children currently.
The centre’s management expressed the urgent need for cot mattresses and a medical cupboard for the onsite nursing centre.
In September 2019 the MHSA team delivered and completed the project by donating 10 cot mattresses and a secure medical cupboard.
Kim, a representative at the centre expressed their gratitude for the donation as these two items are much-needed at the centre to ensure ease and comfort of the orphans at Sivenathi Care Centre. The Nursing representative also expressed her appreciation for the medical cupboard as they have long yearned for an upgrade, to meet the requirements of the Western Cape Health Department.

We are only able to provide this help thanks to your support. Your donations assist the most vulnerable of our society and we pray Allah to reward you abundantly.
