Ramadan Mubarak
As the Ummah the world over welcomes the Blessed month of Ramadan, the month in which the Noble Quran was revealed to guide mankind; a month of sacrifice, extra prayers, reflection, generosity, and seeking forgiveness. I extend to you all my warmest greetings and good wishes at this important time.
Firstly, allow me to express our gratitude to you, our donors who enable us to do what we do on your behalf. Your generosity makes it possible for us to serve those in need. You are indeed their hope. Just like last year our Ramadan theme is “You are their Hope”.
For the month of Ramadan, Muslim Hands South Africa will deliver one-month Ramadan food parcels to families in need as well as continue with our core emergency projects such as WATER, SANITIZATION, HYGIENE, LIVELIHOODS, HEALTH, EDUCATION, and EMERGENCIES.
This year in addition to the normal aid and support we provide all over the world, we must also be mindful of the extraordinary need in the earthquake-hit areas of Türkiye and Syria, where we are the hope of those who survived the earthquakes.
This year we appeal to you to again support us, by donating, volunteering your time, or fundraising with your family and friends in order to help us extend our reach and support more of the world’s most impoverished, disadvantaged, and suffering individuals.
I would once again like to wish you and your loved ones a rewarding and successful Ramadan. I pray that Allah grants us health, taqwa, and Imaan to seek and benefit from the additional reward which is on offer during this month. I also pray that Allah (SWT) grants ease to all our brothers and sisters around the world who are in distress, oppressed, facing difficulties, and suffering hardship. Ameen.
Ramadan Kareem and best wishes.
