A catastrophe on an unimaginable scale

"Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity." Al-Tirmidhi

Thousands of people in Türkiye and Syria have been killed after two enormous earthquakes struck the Southeast, the biggest ever seen in the region in 100 years.

Thousands are injured, and millions more are without food, water and shelter after entire suburbs were reduced to rubble in a matter of seconds. Roads and hospitals have been destroyed making the relief effort even more challenging.

Survivors, including young children and babies are now at the mercy of the elements with winter temperatures falling to as low as -6 Celsius and snowfall reported in many regions. Our team from England has been on the ground in Kahramanmaras, Sanliurfa and Gaziantep, the epicentre, distributing urgent relief, including hot meals, clean water, and warm winter blankets.

- R2,200 will provide medical care for 15 patients.

- R3,300 will provide hot meals for 100 people.

- R17,600 will provide winterised family tents in Syria.

- R66,000 will provide family container homes in Türkiye.

Donate your Sadaqah and Zakat now and help provide lifesaving essentials to our brothers and sisters in Turkey, who have lost everything but their hope in humanity.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The shade of the believer on the Day of Resurrection is his charity.” [Musnad Aḥmad}
